Michael Park is a senior foreign attorney at Hankyul Law Group. He possesses over 15 years of experience in corporate transactional and regulatory matters gained at some of the most reputable corporate law firms in Korea. His experience encompasses representing foreign-based multinational corporations in their investments into Korea, corporate advisory services on the operation of their Korean subsidiaries as well as representing domestic corporations in their investments overseas. His career thus far has been evenly devoted between inbound and outbound corporate transactional and regulatory matters, enabling him to gain deep experience in both types of matters.
Prior to joining Hankyul Law Group, Michael Park also served as general counsel at Korea Resources Corporation (KORES), a 100% state-owned mining and metals enterprise. As general counsel, he supervised all legal aspects of KORES’s investment activities in natural resources such as copper, bituminous coal, iron, nickel, zinc, and uranium in over 35 overseas infrastructure projects located throughout the world including Canada, the US, Mexico, South America, Australia, China, SE Asia and Africa.
Michael Park continues to focus on cross-border corporate transactional and regulatory matters at Hankyul Law Group for its diversified clientele, ranging from Fortune 500 companies to small- and medium-sized Korean companies engaged in a wide range of industries. In addition, he also represents foreign and domestic clients in their cross-border commercial disputes.
